Die Aufgaben

Die BIOMEX in Heidelberg erweitert seine Forschungs- und Entwicklungsabteilungen durch die Schaffung neuer Abteilungen in den Bereichen Biowissenschaften und Bioengineering. Im Rahmen unseres innovativen industriellen Netzwerks von Technologieplattformen mit Zugang zu menschlichen Krankheits- und Gesundheitsproben suchen wir eine/-n wissenschaftliche/-n Leiter/-in der Organoid-Plattform.

Die Aufgaben:

Leitung der Entwicklung und Erstellung einer Krankheits-Organoid-Bibliothek als Produkt innerhalb der Abteilung Life Sciences
Aufbau einer Serviceplattform für Medikamententests in der Forschung und für klinische Anwendungen.
Etablierung und Leitung der Organoid-Plattform für die vielseitige Entwicklung krankheitsrelevanter Organoide und Assembloide im Hochdurchsatzverfahren
Schwerpunkt auf der Protokolloptimierung und der skalierbaren Produktion von Organoiden/Assembloide

Ihre Rolle:

Sie übernehmen die Verantwortung für den strategischen und operativen Aufbau einer hochmodernen Organoid-Plattform
Sie arbeiten mit interdisziplinären Teams zusammen, um innovative Lösungen für die 3D-Organoidforschung zu finden
Sie entwickeln Arbeitsabläufe zur Bereitstellung hochwertiger und zuverlässiger Organoid-Produktionsdienste für Forschung und Kliniken

Das Profil

Ein Wissenschaftler auf höchstem Niveau mit einem Doktortitel in Biologie und experimenteller Medizin und mindestens vier Jahren praktischer Erfahrung in den Bereichen Organoidtechnologie, von Patienten stammende Organoide (PDOs) und 3D-Zellkulturforschung
Ausgeprägte Fachkenntnisse in der Entwicklung von Protokollen und Skalierungsmethoden für die Organoidproduktion
Hervorragende Kommunikationsfähigkeiten, um gemeinsame Projekte zu leiten und mit verschiedenen Teams zu interagieren
Eine Leidenschaft für Innovationen in den Biowissenschaften und das Engagement für den Aufbau einer hochwertigen, zuverlässigen Serviceplattform

Your tasks

BIOMEX in Heidelberg is expanding its research and development divisions with the creation of new departments in Life Sciences and Bioengineering. As part of our innovative industrial network of technology platforms with access to human disease and healthy samples, we invite applications for the following full-time position:

Lead the development and generation of a disease organoid library as a product within the Life Sciences division.
Build a service platform for drug testing in research and clinical applications.
Establish and oversee the organoid platform for high-throughput and versatile development of disease-relevant organoids and assembloids.
Focus on protocol optimization and scalable production of organoids/assembloids.

Your role:

Take responsibility for the strategic and operational establishment of a cutting-edge organoid platform.
Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to advance innovative solutions for 3D organoid research.
Develop workflows to deliver high-quality and reliable organoid production services to research and clinical stakeholders.

Your profile

A top-level scientist with a PhD in Biology and Experimental Medicine, with a minimum of four years of hands-on experience in organoid technology, patient-derived organoids (PDOs), and 3D cell culture research.
Strong expertise in protocol development and scaling methodologies for organoid production.
Excellent communication skills to lead collaborative projects and interact with diverse teams.
A passion for innovation in Life Sciences and the commitment to building a high-quality, reliable service platform.
